The Annual Meeting of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining will follow the BPI workshop and starts at 16.00 on Monday August 31st 2015 in Hörsaal 2 (from 16.00-17.30). The goal of the Task Force is to promote the research, development, education and understanding of process mining. Process mining includes (automated) process discovery (extracting process models from an event log), conformance checking (monitoring deviations by comparing model and log), social network/organizational mining, automated construction of simulation models, case prediction, history-based recommendations, etc. Over 60 organizations support the Task Force.
The annual meeting aims to discuss new initiatives, exchange ideas, and share experiences. During the meeting also the XES standardization efforts will be discussed and the Process Mining Dissertation Award will be announced. The award is given to the author of the best PhD thesis contributing to research in the area of process mining and/or the innovative use of process mining techniques for solving practically relevant problems. The winner of the Process Mining Dissertation Award will also give a brief talk during the Annual Meeting of the IEEE Task Force on Process Mining.
Anyone working on process mining or BPI is welcome to join the meeting!
